Eriez® Model PN Metal Separators Remove Metal Particles from Pneumatic Conveying Lines

Erie, PA— Eriez’new PN Metal Separators remove metal contaminants such as steel, aluminum, brass, copper, stainless steel and more from pneumatically conveyed materials, plastic pellets and regrind. Model PN Metal Separators are used in vacuum and pressure pipelines to protect plastics processing machinery, prevent downtime and improve product purity.

Metal contaminants--even those encapsulated in pellets--are removed by means of a high-speed reject mechanism, which operates reliably at conveying speeds up to approximately 4,000 FPM without any interruption to the material flow. Contaminated material is discharged into a reject container, which is emptied automatically.


The Model PN Metal Separators’ modular design provides flexibility to adapt to different conveying methods. Options are available to accommodate high temperature, abrasive and powdery bulk materials. Eriez’ Model PN Metal Separators can be integrated into horizontal or vertical vacuum and pressure pipes.
Model PN Metal Separators include a 304 Stainless steel separation unit and material contact parts. They are available in four pipe sizes from approximately 1.6” to 2.8” in diameter.

Guideline Weights for Lifting and Lowering

The chart below gives guideline weights for lifting and lowering, which assumes that the handling is taking place in reasonable working conditions with a load that is easily grasped with both hands by a reasonably fit, well-trained individual.

No manual handling activity is completely safe. However, using these guidelines as part of a well thought out risk assessment will reduce the risks from manual handling activities.

Weights to be lifted may need to be reduced below the guideline values if there are environmental or other factors that could have an adverse effect on the activity or if it involves twisting or bending.  Similarly, if the task is being carried out frequently then weights should be reduced.

ERIE, PA - Eriez^® is pleased to announce the availability of the new Eriez Orange University™, a mobile training and education center designed for hands-on demonstrations and customer workshops.

 

“Eriez Brings Its Education & Training Team to Your Facility: Light Industry Edition,” is specifically focused on how Orange University can help meet the needs and challenges of sanitary/light industries.

Orange University is a 38 foot Winnebago^® stuffed with all the goodness you would expect Eriez to offer in a first-class package for a first-class customer experience.  Eriez points out that the Orange University experience includes product and video demonstrations and educational materials.

According to the Eriez brochure, Orange University features a modular equipment layout that allows the rapid transformation of the interior to accommodate different market segments on an annual or semi-annual basis—on demand. This modular layout enables Orange University to travel the country educating a new segment of customers with products tailored to their industrial needs.
