Gloria Evans Morrison
| Visit Guest BookOn April 6, 2012 the Morrison family lost its matriarch, Gloria. She was born September 27, 1934 to John Henry Evans, Jr. and Bessie Thurman Evans. Gloria graduated from Granite High School and attended the University of Utah where she became a devoted member of Pi Beta Phi sorority.
She married her beloved husband, John G. Morrison on March 21, 1953. She and John founded Conveyors & Equipment a Salt Lake company in its 40th year.
Gloria was an active member of P.E.O., WAIMME's, Saturday Night Dance Club and many Bridge groups. She will be missed by many.
A celebration of Gloria's life will be held May 12, at Gloria's monument, 5009 Holladay Blvd. If you wish to attend this event please RSVP to the family by email or phone.
Gloria lived for her family and friends. She was a master seamstress, cake maker, Halloween costume designer, interior decorator, general contractor, consummate hostess and the creator of our holiday magic.
Gloria is survived by her husband John Morrison, brother John H. Evans III, children Ginger Goyzueta, Bret Morrison (Paige), Henry Morrison (Christine) and six grandchildren, Alex and Gina Goyzueta, Bret's sons Austin and Derrick and Henry's sons Connor and Jake.
